(ahem) E-Dawg wuz in tha house! Wooorrddd!
Okay, now that Ive got that out of my system, I just want to say how great
it was to meet you, Eric. I think youre a genuinely great guy and an
absolute genius with LEGO. I was staggered at your devotion to precision and
detail with your robots. When I was helping you put the finishing touches on
the black robot at Bryces, it hit me just how incredibly complex your
design was: the mind boggling number of pieces; the sheer number of moving
parts, pathways, and connections; the use of electric motors and pneumatics;
the masterful way you make things move with fluidity. Truly wonderful!
You belong here on the West Coast, the Mecca of Mecha. Although my
building realm is mainly spacecraft, I am equally drawn to the amazing
creations our LUGOLA dudes churn out. I was especially happy that Bryce
finally got to meet you in person since hed really been looking forward to
it. Bryces BMW Mech blew my mind. Im still having nightmares! Some people
might say hes disturbed, I say hes just misunderstood ;^) But seriously,
Bryce is my boy and his stuff is just off the scale!
And theres Dave, an encyclopedia of building ideas. His Zodiac Mechs
highlight his talent for color schemes, variety and pose-ability. Speaking
of which, Chris really impressed everyone the first time we met him with his
awesome system of spring-loaded clicking joints. Chris has a fantastic angle
on construction and applies his knowledge of physics with expert results.
So, when you came out to see us, it was no surprise that you fit in like
water flowing into a river, just like Mark Sandlin (hopefully youll meet
him someday too). And we will miss you, for sure. I hope there will be a
next time soon.
Later bro,
Dan
