What scale are you building at? The size and strength of the joint(s) is
dependent on what size/weight the gundam will be for the most part

not all gundams, but a very good resource for any type of mech.

| (...) Not only do you need to know the size of the Gundam, you also need to determine the speed that the joints will move at. Some people use gear driven joints, where moves slowly, but is very stable. Peg-type slots allow for a full range of (...) (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
