Taking spartan01.bmp as an example, the BMP file is 1880KB (1.8MB), while a PNG of the same image is 74KB, and the two images are identical on-screen. When I posted (...) (...) Hi Fradel. Thanks very much. Both of the parts you're asking about are found in the official parts list downloaded with LDRAW. (...) Whoops. Sorry about the link. As for the bmp files, I used them because they looked better than jpg files.
