I’ll leave the Mecha critique for those who are more qualified (I, personally, am into trains), but I will offer this bit of advice to you. Don’t upload .bmp files. Personally, I won’t download them, as I know a lot of people won’t, either. Stick with .jpg or .png, and mind your file sizes. If I were you, I’d take them down and reload.

I do like the mech, and if it’s your first major MLCAD design, I’m really impressed, since I know mechs can be a pain to model. (Even if it’s not your first major model, I’m still impressed by it. I like the design.)

But John’s right about the BMPs. Since you appear to be using LDView for the pictures, just switch to PNG files there in the future. (Select PNG: Portable Network Graphics in the Save as type field in the Save Snapshot dialog.) JPEGs will be smaller, but with LDView images they often don’t look too good (which is why LDView doesn’t offer JPEG as a file format).

Another LDView hint: check the Conditional lines check box in the Edge Lines group box of the Geometry tab in Preferences.

Thanks Travis, but it’s far from my first major design. It’s just the first that I announced here on Lugnet. I’m still finding my way around the new MOC pages posting method, but I see they do allow PNG, so I’ll take your advice and try that next time. Thanks again.
