Yeah, so has most of the world... metric is so much easier to figure out.
You're not sitting there having to divide Feet by 12, or divide Inches by 8,
etc.

But imagine the stink it would make if they tried to implement metric in the
US. ^_^

(...) They tried in the 70s/early 80s -- it was indeed a big stink. Most of the problem was that they were obsessed with teaching conversion factors imperial <-> metric -- much harder to remember than even the weird imperial system measurements. (...)
