(...) Well, some of the slopes are that weird orange-brown color...Have to find out what the Lego Group calls it. (...) I was trying something different for the feet on this one. If you have looked at some of my other mecha, usually they have (...) (18 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

Well being a humble castle builder I can't offer any advice but... green is my faviourite colour and the compactness of this MOC give it a nice 'meanness' without a human resembelance. Overall I really like it. Great work! God Bless, Nathan Visit (...) (18 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Moc: Kestrel

(...) Is that really orange?! It looks very dark in your pics, although I like the colour scheme nonetheless. Actually I like the whole thing. The torso and cockpit are done very nicely, and it does look light and agile enough as befits its (...) (18 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  New Moc: Kestrel

Hello all, I have been very busy as of late. What with buying a house, moving in, and preparing for the arrival of our first child (she is due May 6, btw), I haven’t had much time for building. (...) No criticism or suggestions; I love it. Great colour scheme, I'm always a fan of black+white+other colour, and your green / trans-green detailing works really well. It's lovely and compact yet really beefy looking; those cannons are fabulous. (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Pirate mecha

(...) Thanks Mark! I didn't know about Makoto Kobayashi (URL) before you mentioned him, no inspiration coming form there. Inspiration came more from (URL) kind of bot - which looks similar to your example anyway: strong arms, short legs - ape style (...)   Re: Pirate mecha

hah, nice one JP Something about your mech struck a chord with me, I couldn't figure out what it was. So, true to my style I start surfing my links, and found (URL) by Makoto Kobayashi. (thanks to Soren the anime junkie Roberts for turning me onto (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

Hi Dennis, First off I'd like to congratulate you on a great little mech! Awesome colours, nice proportions, and great detailing. I love the guns, big and mean looking! I normally prefer more humanoid looking mecha, but what you have done here is (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
