Okay - I will have a go, though i have no idea if it will be any good..

Excellent - the more reference material, the better

And for those who do metric - like me - that (provided by a rough
guage of old 12 Inch rulers) is about 30-35 Cm.

I have no built many mechs, but for anything I build, articulate is
normally the rule of thumb for me - no guarantees on this one though.

Excellent - and it will be good fun to have a go. This style is very
different from my own, and it is a challenge - so I will probably
learn by trying it.

I will probably put a section on OrionRobots to chart my progress if I
go that far, and just point people at it from time to time. It does
RSS so people can stay on top if they really want.

Good call - Some people forget that building is for fun. Sure, I like
bragging rights as much as the next guy, and selling stuff for money
is good too, but at the end of the day, I do this stuff mostly for
fun.

If I cant cope, thats my own problem, one of the mechs may have to
suffer, or I will just become a better, quicker builder.
Merry Christmas all - sounds like this year will be more a time of
building than anything else...

| Several builders have privately agreed to do Soren's build anyway just for fun. The "group" for lack of a better term would like to re-open it to .mecha. We are following the original rules posted in Soren's challenge: "Were building this: (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 22-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
