lol I’m having deja vu all over again. This link redirects too many times for some browsers. Cut and paste it.

Scale will be twelve inches or less, time limit is nine months, and it must be recognizable as the same model. Judging to be decided by six people - I pick three, you pick three. No prize. No changing the rules, either - it’s this or nothing.

If you want to go scare up more reference pics, look under “Akatsuki Hime” or “LED Mirage Mighty Alpha”.

I found this and it’s a pretty good reference point.

   AND the slighty more specific:

“Okay, for everyone who feels like going for it as-is, here are the rules, expanded:

12” to the shoulders. An inch higher, and anything shorter, is fine - don’t get hung up on it.

Make whatever adjustments you like within reason - color, detail, stuff like that. No altering proportions or really basic shapes.

Try to keep it articulate, but how much is your call.”

The only difference is that we are not judging. The mecha builders involved are interested in seeing how each other interprets the model not who is “better”.

The Challenge is open to anyone. Start date is now with and end Sept 1st, 2006. Yeah a long way off but who cares? We’ll still be around.

Soren and I have agreed to make ourselves available via email or this thread if anyone has questions concerns or whatever.

Updates, WIP pics, and mecha discussion is fully encouraged. Ideally one would first post to “declare” his intentions to build and then add WIPs and what not as the project progresses. This would keep the whole thing in at least one thread (mangled as it may get).

If you are new to mecha do not fear! The goal here is to learn from each other and become better builders not to beat each other down. We are having FUN remember?

I laugh at the fear and accept the RBC! (if, as in the other contest, I have permission to have my son help me;-)
