Hello,

Congratulations on creating an extremely posable first mecha! The basic structure is the hardest part and you’ve got it there nicely.

The hand design is pretty neat and I like what you did with the head as well.

Seeing as you’re just getting started up, here’s some pointers as mecha are probably the hardest thing to get the hang of.

I’m going to assume that you don’t have a crapload of lego, (yes no?) so because of that, color really doesn’t matter that much cause you don’t have the resources, but if you can, try to focus the form. It doesn’t have to be symmetrical, but if you can get each section of the mecha (leg, body, arm etc) to have a similar feeling you’ll be well on your way. You’re quite close to that right now, just try to focus it all and flesh everything out a little more. You should also look out for proportion and stuff too (small head, bigger legs and shoulders in relation to a smaller body)

Awesome first mecha! I know mine wasn’t anything near what you have there, so you should be quite happy.

See ya

   Greeting fellow mecha builders,
This being my first post, please let me introduce myself.
I have been lurking on lugnet for about a year now. Just recently I began to look into the world of mecha.
I had seen many of Eric Sophie’s MOCs when cruising the web for mindstorms stuff, and I was truly amazed. I was then inspired even more by Mr. Neumann’s MOCs to build my own. so without further ado,
let me show you a friend of mine:

the brickshelf gallery As some of you have probably noticed that I entered a similar picture in the MPC contest.
I agree completely with the judge’s choices, and would have done the same. On the last day of the contest due to technical troubles I was unable to post.
The only reason I was able to enter the MPC was Mr. Neumann was kind enough to post my entry for me. Not only does he have awesome MOCs, he is kindly to newbies. thank you, Mark.

please tell me what you think .
