Get out! First time to do arms, hands, and head? I could have sworn some of
your other mecha had them.
|
My Power Armors did, but they didnt fit a whole fig. There might be an old one
in my bshelf gallery, but nothing I posted here.
|
Anyways, for firsts your mecha look quite good. Better than good. In
particular the red mecha reminds me somewhat of Karim Nassars
Panther. Way cool!
:-D
|
I went back and looked at the Panther through your link. I hadnt seen it in a
long time, but I see I really emulated a lot of the style without realizing it.
Karim has spiffed-up his site since I was there last.

I think they look great and have
all the requisites to make them Wanzer-style mecha, except for the scale.
They just seem too compressed. I almost want to see them with longer
appendages. However, it is still amazing that you got to fit them into that
dropship. Well done.
|
Thanks, I kind of like doing the compressed scale, but it does restrict movement
to some extent.

Ill acknowledge that the color schemes arent as tight as Id like, due to
parts availability, but otherwise Im happy with how these turned out.
|
On the contrary, I think your colour schemes this time around are far more
focused and realistic. This is something I struggle with all the time;
whether to go for a very rigid, clean tripartite colour scheme, or for a more
realistic but chaotic, varied colour scheme. I think you struck a nice
balance, especially with the grey mecha.
|
Glad you liked the gray/tan/rust color scheme. I really wanted to try using the
rust color somehow. I had to add the black due to parts necessity, which is
what bothered me.
Thanks, Mladen!
