  New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(URL) Click on Image After seeing Kyle Vrieze's (URL) Spider Tank > I was floored. Naturally, I was amazed at the new bar Kyle had raised, and I promptly e-mailed him (due LUGNET posting technical difficulties). His MOC inspired this. Thanks Kyle! (...) (...) ARGH! Wrong LINK! Sorry... Now it's corrected. (URL) Mladen Pejic> (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) Typically excellent Pejic sleekness. I love that turret shaping, and the checkerboard missile racks are nifty - I'm stealing that. I think you pulled off the wheeled-multiped look pretty well. I think it's overloaded with weapons though- maybe (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) Thanks Soren! Steal away my friend, you know I do the same. ;-) (...) You're right. I was going to drop those huge missiles launcher boxes, but I wanted to show them off so bad that I tacked them on at the last second. :-) A coaxial gun or (...)   Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) It's great that you were inspired by my Spider Tank, and it's also pretty cool that within the space of about a day, you're posting a MOC inspired by my last post, and I'm posting a MOC inspired by your last post. (...) Yeah, the Suborbital (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) Yeah, maybe now's a good time to tell everyone we're really the same person. Cue Fight Club ending... (...) Thanks Kyle! Yep, the armour plating could indeed be made to fan 360 degrees. (...) Yeah, the difficulty with making these wheeled (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) I liked it a lot too. One of those MOCs that makes you want to build your own (...) I like how you list the influences. By far, this is my favorite of all your MOCs Mladen. I would really like to build this one for study purposes. Regards, (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) Yeah, definitely! (...) Thanks David! Once I finish the LDraw file for this, you'll be able to see how I built it. First I have to study for my summer class, though. :-( (URL) Mladen Pejic> (19 years ago, 20-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

Awesome Spider tank mech man. I'm lovin the concealed wheels and the missiel rack design. The round wedge design sitting upon the top is also nifty. (19 years ago, 21-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

Mladen, I can't believe you'd stoop to this level of nationalism: "Bushwhacker"? You evil Tank-Mecha driving Canadian, sure you can reduce Detroit to rubble, but you'll never break the American spirit! Although I've never been completely comfortable (...)   Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) Dictionary.com says "bushwhack" is basically synonymous with ambush and querrilla warfare. A bushwhacker, aside from being a general term for an ambusher, also refers to "a Confederate guerrilla during the American Civil War". So I dunno why (...)   Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

Awesome as usual Mladen! First off, the coolest part about this mecha are the legs. They are absolutely beautiful. The wheels fit in perfectly and the ladders as detail are awesome. The rockets at an independant angle from the leg are so sweet. What (...) (19 years ago, 26-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) Thanks Geordan! I actually didn't think of the legs that way when I made them, but I like the way you describe them! :-D (...) Yah, maybe it's because the turret is a lot more faceted and complex, whereas the legs are smoother and, as you (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

Mladen, as always this is simply breathtaking. I am taken especially by the smaller details, like the 1x2 trans tile that comprises the periscope lens. Smoke launchers, staggered missle pods. Nice. I understand the wheels and they're pretty cool, (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) blush (...) Thank you Mark! Yes, I'm trying to get a lot more detail packed into my models. Of course, with guys like you and Soren, among others, I'm learning fast. :-) (...) Yeah, originally they were supposed to fold back 180 degrees into a (...) (19 years ago, 1-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
