Is there anywhere I could get the rules for that. I saw another Lego
based battle-mech game, but it was far too simplistic, and the system
was entirely random. It would be interesting to see a more mature
battle system

As promised in my last post, I spent all day taking pictures of all the
mechs I
have together and uploading them to brickshelf.

Awesome! Thank you! Wow, I'm not sure how to add all of this to the side
bar!
Forgive me. I'll think of something, I like to chronicle everyone's Mechs.

Hmm, cool legs, but the body has me. Is that an off center gun pod? or was
it a
studd off? Wow, 2002, it has its day in the cyber spotlight finally.

Yes, Eric, that is an off center gun pod!

The Black Widow

P.S. Does the Black Widow look Familiar to you Eric?

Trying to place it!

Um, did I see it at a Brick Fest? no, did you send it to the LMHoF email,
no,
did you have it on Brickshelf at some point, no, did you make it from my
Lego,
no, was it on the back of a Egg Nog Jar, no, um...was it based on one of my
Mechs? um, or maybe you thought Mladen? errr....wha?

Okay , I'll relent, Eric. Back in 2000 I had a website and you saw it, the
maruader, watcher, the crusher (in an older and less stable form), and the
barracuda (older form as well). The other designs are all now defunct. The
site
was  Lego-maniac.net (which I had to shut down before Lego took legal action
against me.).It was inspired by the Protoss Dragoons from Starcraft. You and I
emailed back and forth for a couple of months.

I do have a few more things to post once I get pictures taken, but I'm taking
a
break for a while. I have some tanks, at least one aerospace fighter, a couple
of dropships, a light and medium mech repair bay (nowhere near as cool as
yours,
I bow to the master!!),a protomech support facility, a mobile artillery
piece, and a hospital that has been hit by shelling.

Everything I have posted is intended for use in a game that crosses battletech
with Lego.
I call it Bricktek, and I run it at a local convention every year called
Marcon
Last year I built a whole town for a city battle. This year will be my fourth
year running it.

Ciao

-Jon
P.S. I'll see if I can find the page on Marcon.org that has pictures of last
year's game.

(...) Danny, the only real difference between my game and standard Battletech is the rules for miniature conversion are changed a bit. As you are probably well aware, Battletech uses hex map sheets normally. I chose to go with a bit different (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
