My First Post, and it's a biggun —David McCants
This is my first post, so i'll give a little backstory: After a long hiatus (about 15 years, i stopped playing with toys around 12), I bought the rebel snowspeeder set last winter, and i've been addicted ever since. I then began collecting all the (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX) !!

(...) (snip) Wow. I don't think I have ever seen such a dramatic newbie entry. That stuff rocks and I don't even LIKE mechs. Bravo. I like the color schemes, I'm a sucker for red and grey. I especially like the little flying support vehicles a lot. (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Hi there and welcome! One word to describe what I see... Stunning! You certainly have got a keen eye for building, everything about these MOC's is great. From the brilliant colour control, to the expert use of shapes and joints combines to form (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Kevin Blocksidge
What an impressive suite of work. When I first saw it on Brickshelf, I immediatly submitted it to Zemi.net You can see the post here: (URL) I like the mix of new and old gray, it works nicely when done right. I see influences of Paul Hartzog, Soren, (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —David McCants
Thanks for the compliments, it was certainly flattering to be posted on Jon's sight. His stuff is amazing, and to merely be mentioned there was a red letter day. He was actually one of the first builders to baffle me with some SNOT. Thanks so much (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Larry Pieniazek
(...) It's a different site. Click the link Kevoh gave you in his post or follow this link if you're not seeing his: (URL) (pretty cool URL, eh???? ) Hope that helps! (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) And here you learn another NEW lesson: What happens when you forget to activate/deactivate FTX before replying ;-) Your MOCs are sooooo NOT fair! :-) You can't just debut AND be a good builder at the same time! This stuff is way too cool. (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Kenn Oldham
Wow, neat stuff. I really like your use of varying angles throughout your aircraft, as well as the color schemes. (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Brian Pilati
(...) Glad you came back! You must have a cold because you have SNOT all over those MOcs These are wonderful. I am really impressed. These are so simple but elegant and stunning! I too liked the colors and the angle work. Great Job. Keep up the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Keith Goldman
Hey David, that way to open up with both barrels of your Lego 12-guage. I can see Soren's evil influence, but detect none of the questionable odor. Be careful, or you'll also be sharing his addiction to industrial solvents. The mocs are all quite (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Larry Pieniazek
In lugnet.build.mecha, Keith Goldman wrote: "I have to agree with Lar" (paraphrased) Goldman agreeing with me? Did the world stop turning???? What just happened there? I felt all warm and tingly inside.(1) Please don't do that again, ok? We have a (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —David McCants
I kinda liked the Bobby Fischer reference, though i'll try to stick around for awhile. If only there was as much money in lego as professional chess, oh the sets i'd buy ~sigh~. Thanks for the warm welcome. David (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) snipitty Hey, I saw alot of your stuff when you posted it on brickshelf. I have to say, it was a little overwhelming, you have some fantastic stuff there. I especially enjoyed alot of the ships, you've got some good stuff there, and a great (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —David McCants
(...) Yeah, i actually thought about that today as i was posting, but after waiting 3 weeks to get on lugnet, i was a bit antsy. Things'll be a bit slower now though, my lego collection has inexplicably diminished. David (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Terry Prosper
All I can say is that you're a welcome addition in our community, a very good builder and for the little I know of, I'm sure we'll be hearing from you in the future! I've been here for a few years and I don't think I've announced as many good (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Christopher Snead
(...) <snip> These are very impressive mecha. I'm amazed at how quickly a newcomer can turn out some quality models. I look forward to seeing how your style evolves... Later, Chris (19 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun —Andrew Saada
(...) David, As the others have said, Welcome & Wow. I saw a good amount of your gallery the day it was posted to the weblog on Zemi.net and it's great to place a (full) name and person with the creations. I had a post written and ready to submit on (...) (19 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
