    Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
After building my first Mech the (URL) ABD-I> I decided that I also needed an alien race to battle (You know how Mech, unless your Eric, leads to war). So I present the Kalate OmniDroid (URL) Since I am still progressing and learning about Mechs, I (...)         Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Leonard Hoffman
-snippity- Brian, The mechs themselves seem a bit on the skinny side. A bit too colorful and thin-limbed to be convincing warmechs. I like the concept of the Omnidroid, and the way you carried it out with the bionicle pieces. But what I really liked (...) (19 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
(...) Hoping to overcome some of those problems in my z24 model (...) Thanks. It was my first build with Bionicle pieces. Even though the math didn't completely work on the triangular legs, I felt like it came out nicely. (...) Thanks. At first I (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Mark Neumann
Yo, Brian, the OmniDroid is easily the best of the bunch as far as the mechs go, but you've proven something much much more important. THE SCENE ROCKS! A few creations, in even a smallish setting make for an awesome creation overall. This is a (...) (19 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
(...) Thanks. I wish I would have spent more time on the city. The details are wanting on almost every building but it was fun to get my feet wet with that type of micro city. As you can tell the Mechs only took me a few hours to build but the city (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Eric Sophie
Hey cool, I like the Urban Combat layout, I want to see more of that! e (19 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
(...) Thanks Eric. To comment on your post on MOC pages, you said, "An Urban Combat scene! How cool! It takes time to make the Mecha let alone the scenery! Bravo! More! e " I agree. I found much more satisfaction building some Mecha that I enjoyed (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Eric Sophie
(...) LMAO! Oh man that rocks. A funny thing, I realized when I started to meet other Lego Fans, Sound Effects are a subtle part of what we enjoy doing. Many times have I looked over a fellow builders MOC in person and when the details and features (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Bingo! That is exactly what I needed. Thank Eric. (19 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Eric Constantino
I really like all the gadgetry you put on this new mech... however, i'm gonna have to agree w/ what i read about the bionicle legs... they're too easy. i know that i'm sounding like a broken record, but you should consider at least adding some 'dead (...)          Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
(...) That is a good way of putting the bionicle parts --- easy. (...) You guys and your 'dead weight'! :) (...) Thanks. It was a fun build. I have been surprised that by taking two average, ungreebled Mechs and combining then with an (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Tobias Möller
I like the general low-slung shape of these mechs. They look very agressive, and the large back-side could be equipped with a variety of things, such as huge missile launchers, a rocket booster pack, massive railguns... The underside and the arms (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
(...) Thanks. This was planned and a necessity. I wanted to get a start with Mechs but I figured that a humanoid would be too challenging for the first build so I tried to go in a new direction. I too think that this shape leads to a lot of (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Marco Tagliaferri
(...) Hi Brian, I'm waiting for that! Like your stuff very much! And I see the shadow of an upcoming master of arts in your first attempts on mecha. Build on, I know you will! (URL) Marco> (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Kalate OmniDroid —Brian Pilati
