"Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
This summer I built a team of power-armor mercenaries, and I wanted to build them a ship to get to the battlefield with, and here it (finally) is: (3 URLs) Click any pick for the Brickshelf gallery, or click (URL) here> for the Mocpage. I looked at (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Keith Goldman
Stop talking about my thrusters, Kyle, I'm sensitive about that ;) Although there have been only a handlful of mecha-style dropships this is clearly one of the best. As I mentioned on my MOCpages review, I like the salad-bar approach you took to the (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) I knew I left somebody out! While I wasn't looking at the Sword of Michael while building, you can't deny the similarity. Must have been a subliminal influence--how insidious. No one expects the Galactic Inquisition! (...) I thought since they (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —David Rabadan
(...) This is pretty darn good Kyle. I was looking forward to this dropship since a while ago you mentioned you were working on one. You did not disappoint. I most say you have done a great job with the “rugged, let’s get these boys down” look. The (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) I know what you mean about trying to finish that dropship. My first attempt at this one was completely scrapped and I started over. I know what you mean about the size of the missile boxes too. I finished them and realized they were way too (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Scott Lyttle
(...) Kyle, I like the color scheme, the lifting doors, the weapons array, and the engine are neat, but I've got a few issues, and they have nothing to do with your building style or how it looks--it's more of a few technical/physics/science-based (...)          Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) I'm glad you enjoyed the dropship, Scott. I assume that it would fly around by means of a point-source graviton generator, so it wouldn't need vectored thrust or aerodynamic lift (they're not engines, they're generators of some kind). Given (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Daniel Rubin
(...) This thing is pretty nice. It bothers me that it doesn't have any thruster pods or engines at the front, but your techsplanation for that is acceptable. It strikes me as a sort of space-only vessel, and looks pretty good for that. Missiles are (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) The cargo bay turned out to be a little more spacious than those power suits required. I'm kicking around the idea of building a trio of bigger mechs that fill the space. I'm glad you liked it, Dan. I hope that cap ship you previewed is coming (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Brayton Orchard
Wow, Kyle. That's rather amazing. I'd have to say my favorite part would be the top gun turret. I've always been partial to Mladen's square barrel. I do agree with Daniel that it needs more front boosters. But, then again, who am I to talk? I can't (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) The top turret was kind of a doodle that just turned out really well. (I shoulda showed you guys the turret that came in second place and got scrapped--yuck!) (...) I dunno about that. Looking at your Brickshelf folder, you've obviously got (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Mladen Pejic
(...) Kyle this is magnificent! I love the overall shape and the weapons/detailing. Along with Mark N.'s dropship, this is one of the few ships that looks cool and carries huge cargo. As always, I'm very impressed and somewhat humbled by your work. (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) (Blush), thanks! And I agree with you about Mark's "Pioneer". I just checked his gallery again, and I think you could maybe park my "Aggressor" inside the cargo container. (...) I actually thought carefully about those white curved slopes. I (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Mark Neumann
(...) <snip> (...) I think it's righteous. It's hard to make something like this that doesn't look blah. You did a good job creating the look of a functional and not boring to look at, drop ship. Right on man. The colors didn't desturb me, I always (...)          Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) I think there's a parallel between building mechs and building cargo ships, because the inside (either the joint tech or the cargo space) dictates what you can do with the outside. Thanks for the comments, Mark, glad you liked it! (19 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Fradel D. Gonzales
Hey man. Cool ship. Gotta question though. Is the drop bay one continous walk through section or 3 walled off individual ones? I can't tell by the pictures. I noticed some people think the suits are too small for the bays but it seems spacious (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) The drop bay is one continuous walk-through section. There's not a lot of space (a little over four studs in width), but would be plenty for a minifig dropmaster. I commented elsewhere that I ran out of creativity when it came to the interior. (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —matt ciavaglia
(...) Couple of Comments: Love the forward section, looks like it could detach and connect on to other vehicles. The detailing and curviture to the front gives it a smooth connection to the hanger portion. I don't think the mechs are too small. (...)          Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) It's interesting that you would mention that the front section looks like it could detach. Actually the front section, the back section, and each of the three mech bays are separate modules connected by technic pins. However, I reinforced the (...)         Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Eric Sophie
(...) -snip- That Rocks! Dang! Look at all that stuff! Wow. All kinds of parts, and excellent how comfortable the Mechs are! I like that they are connected to umbillicals during flight. Cool. Vrieze Dropship Werks? A new cottage industry taking off (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Thanks Eric! The Dropship Werks will be off-line for a while until I build more mechs. (I don't know how big the dropship needs to be until I know how big the mechs are.) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
