ah,welcome to mecha bliss!  now that you are aware of the intricacies of
mecha-building, you can now see the lure of it.  the whole idea is to • refine
your skills, with each passing creation, until you reach a point where • moc's
take on a life and style of their own.  i'm still working on that as we • speak.
now on to your moc:   first of all, the flourescent highlights are a very
orginal and creative idea.  they look cool, especially next to that black
light.  however, at the same time they detract from the overall design of
your mecha.  i see you went with the new click hinges.  those are excellent
for larger mecha.  i really like the squatting pose, but your mecha still
seems very rigid.  the hardest thing to get right on a mecha are the
proportions.  you have done well in that area for your first time.  i also
dig the "claws" on the feet.
overall, you did a fine job for your first mecha.  keep it up, and do a • lot of
research to improve your skills.

Indeed, jason, mecha is a mighty challenge!  The click-hinges are great, but
not the kind I used, since those ball/socket rotation ones give you a lot of
odd-stud length building requirements.  I want to try the flourescent
highlights again.  I figure I just need to make their placement more
purposeful and organic looking.

The "claws" were one of my favorite things too!

Thanks for the kind words!

Dave
