As a fan of Masamune Shirow and Appleseed I always wanted to build a Landmate. It was a bit tricky to keep it close enough to scale. I am mostly pleased with the results but I will keep trying to improve it. I was working on prototypes for PA005 when I decided to go this route (please feel free to comment on the prototypes as well). But this landmate is more eye candy for us fans than an actual power armor that I intend to implement. PLMKWYT.

Looks awesome David! You got all the details right, even the small arms in the torso. I love the foot design, it's really cool. Heh, very nice overall. That said, I actually prefer the version without all the Landmate details. It just looks sleeker. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) -snip- I'm seeing Shirow cues all over this thing. The feet, the AV sensor "wings" in the back, the head and "ears", the rifle that looks "Swiss", like the rifles Deunan and Bri had in book 2... I think your prototype without the slave arms (...) (...) I know nothing about these mangas, but this small landmate is pure genious! It was impossible for me at first sight to say it's made of Lego! I thought it was a mini figure, a toy, when I first saw that on BS. Incredible use of Bionicle parts! (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
