I try to update the sidebar on Sunday nights after I see weekend mecha postings.
Obviously, that hasn't happened in the past month, so I started updating using
the last update as a starting point and I move forward from there. Generally, I
leave the 3-5 newest mecha on the front page, but all previously posted mecha
that I can find are updated as Frank said. Ultimately, all mecha posted in
.build.mecha do get their 15 minutes of fame, it just might not be on the
sidebar if there are many submissions in a small amount of time as has happened
in the past.
Place no blame on Eric, as he hasn't updated the sidebar yet and the process I
detailed for him will take a little practice first.
I will work to keep on a solid schedule about this.

| A bit of follow-up on this: Initially when I started adding postings to the sidebar, I was faced with a dilemma-do I update everytime a post is made or do I hold off and update a few at a time. I need to remind Lar, or Frank, to enable my curator status since no action has been taken in regard to Lar's (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.curators)

| i know there have been a lot of complaints about the sidebar being updated...and here's one more: there have been many mecha that did not make the sidebar this last time (mine being one of them). i understand that you can fit only a few at a time, (...)
