Many people, Afol's and non-Afol's alike have commented that when in car form,
they think that it is simply a car.  I take that as a sign that it works.

enjoy!

Hi Nathan,

Wow, that looks great!  I like all of the decorative details you have in both
robot and car modes, like the decorated tiles on the arms and legs and the
exhaust pipes and spoiler.  The head looks great, too, very
Hasbro-Transformer-ish!  Really cool.  It looks like it's fun to transform back
and forth.  I agree with you that making the car mode look most realistic is the
best way to go.  What I loved as a kid about the early Hasbro Transformers was
that in car/jet/gun/walk-man/whatever mode they would look no different from my
other toy cars, jets, etc.  I really didn't care what the robot looked like as
long as the "disguise" was perfect.  I was disappointed when Hasbro strayed from
that idea and started making the non-robot mode look less accurate and
realistic.

Thanks for giving me credit on my own transformer MOC.  I'm glad I was able to
provide some inspiration.  One really great transformer MOC you might want to
check out is a transforming jet made by Nathanael Kuipers:

He did it using just the pieces from one copy of the 4099 Robobots Designer set.
He's got the instructions on there so anyone with a 4099 set can build it.

Regards,
Paul D'Urbano
