  Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

(URL) all! This is a model I made this morning after I bought my second Sith Infiltrator and wanted to make an alternative model from it using only the pieces in the set, I was inspired to do this after years of admiring Joseph Gonzalez alternative (...)   Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Thanks Tim, wouldn't you agree it kinda, sorta, maybe resembles a Zaku from Gundam, huh? No, maybe if you squint your eyes... (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

(...) I've heard the name thrown around some, but I'm by no means familiar with Gundams. I'm pretty much Mecha-illiterate as well - I like the designs you guys put up, but its just not my building style, so I naturally don't look into non-Lego mecha (...)   Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Well I'll inlighten you my friend: (URL) you can see it doesn't look anything like my model, I just like misleading people into thinking my models look like something they don't and tell themto squint and they'll see it... hehehe... ;-p (...) (...) this, (...) Quite nice. Does it hold a minifig, or is it a ProtoMech-style? *ducks Mladen's the FASA-hater's swing* Do the X-Wing next! Build well, James (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Thanks James, and yes it does hold a mini-fig, that's why it has *hatch*! And I don't hate FASA, I actually like some of their smaller mechs, like the Raven, and the Locust! Regarding the X-Wing, LEGO did the mini-fig scale one and the Master (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Oh you meant alternate X-Wing model, I would if I still had it all intact, but I've already taken it apart and sorted it, and it kills me to get the instructions out and build it again. However, it would be fun to see what I could do with it. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Hey Mladen, pretty neat mech! I knew all those Infiltrator parts were good for something! I just finished a "UCS" Imperial Shuttle, and I'm very proud of it. The problem is, I don't have a digital camera. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Thanks Matt! I don't know too much about digital camera's or really where you could borrow them since I don't use them myself, I use LDRAW and MLCAD which, escpecially the latter, are like CAD programs and let you construct your model on your (...)   Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Just use a regular camera and then go to the store where you get your film developed and ask them to put it on a PhotoCD. Then you'll have images you can use and they'll be nice and archived as well. Cheers, ~Mark (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Great! Thanks for the tip...I just hope they can store the picture in a MAC compatible format. I'm sure there are ways, I'll let everyone know how it worked out. I just gotta get my Imperial Shuttle on the site. Peace, ou (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

(...) As long as your CD-ROM drive can handle PhotoCDs (and most made after 1991 can), it doesn't matter whether you have a PC or a Mac. PhotoCD is its own standard, sort of like web graphics. best LFB (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Thanks Joseph, but it's not as cool as some of your, wicked mecha models! And of course you can link up to the pictures, that's what I was going to e-mail you about, if you could put this model on your website... Thanks again! (...) shame! (...) At my local Wal*Mart they have photo disks, photo CD's and online storage. I looked ino this one day and you get low resoulution images for 3$ on a disk, high resoulution images on a CD for 7$!!!!
