Hi,
Great work there... I like the Deus mech in particular. The Wolf Legs are
awsome! I dont mind sacrificing some manouvrability for armour, seems like a
fair swap in my opinion, especially when it looks so good, (Crust legs!)
I really like the modular mecha idea, I think it allows more freedom to
customize the models. If the arm cant support the weight of a weapon simply
plug in an arm thats modified to deal with the extra load, the same for the legs
and hips, in principle anyway.
The freedom this allows means you could build upgrade packs with heavy
armour, more weapons, new heads etc. and simply swap the parts over easily. A
standardization of this would be great, like blueprints for the best designs
for specific mecha types or class. As you said it could be like the Moonbase
idea where the airlock is a standardized feature that just plain works in all
respects! Maybe we could all contribute ideas and designs in this thread?
Keep the factorys turning out those Mean Mechs!

| Thanks for the feedback. What i was trying to do with the modular mech idea was exactly what you said, allow freedom to customize models based on what they can carry.I am trying to make each new part different from the others. For example, when i (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| A few weeks ago i sprung an idea to do a mecha idea similar to moonbase using modular mecha parts. Well, here are some parts i made, using my Argos mech as a base i built a new set of arms, 2 new sets of legs, and a new head. I also put together 2 (...)
