Mundanes is a much more generic term since it's used in both Hard SF and fantasy, and predates Rowling by at least 10, possibly 20, years... :-) (URL) bunches of other possible references found by googling using "mundanes SF term" as the (...) (...) Well, actually, while it IS great exposure, I think the Lego guys know quite a bit about it. I mean, look at the Alternate models for alot of the starwars sets and stuff.
