Well, actually, while it IS great exposure, I think the Lego guys know quite
a bit about it. I mean, look at the Alternate models for alot of the
starwars sets and stuff. Most (like the Imperial shuttle and the Republic
gunship, among many others) have a mecha alternate, most with missile pods,
rifles, the works. I think some of the lego model dudes are definately
liking what they've seen, and while unable to make a set for it (so far,
hopefully soon) they still build them.
Plus, while not always great models, there have been a steady stream of
mecha submissions to the Club magazine gallery. I originally started
building mecha and mechs because of a SWEET model called Xentex: Blue in
there. But this is just MHO...
