(...) with using throwbot limbs for mechs is that they limit the size of the mech and creativity in limb design. I wish that TLG would make brick-based modifications on the pieces- such as a ball with axl fused to the side of a 2x1 brick and a (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Thanks. One thing that I've found very useful for mech construction lately is the vertical-horizontal technic beam relationship. I used several variations of it on both the "Sasquatch" and "Blackjack" mechs at the feet, knees, elbows, (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jun-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

I consider myself a purist so I usually would abhor any cutting of these sacred pieces of plastic, but this is one of those pieces that I am just puzzled by(I am specifically refering to the double ball joint part (...)
