 Building / Mecha / *491 (-20)
Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

Those are high intensity flame throwers. They redirect waste fuel and heat from the reactor and spew it out all over unfortunate enemy soldiers. These mechas run very hot, and need to dissipate heat. I liked this method of heat dissipation as it (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

Cool looking stuff. That one with the big gun reminds me of one of my favorite Macross Mechs. pat J (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) Man, those are sweet. You gotta browse around to see them, and unfortunately there aren't a lot of pics you can download for later reference, but definitely some cool designs. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

By the way, you have to follow this path: Front Mission 3 --> Features --> Customization Unfortunately, the screen pics are a bit simplified. If you really want to see the mecha, you should try to find pictures of the toys. I'll report back if I (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

Buy extras. :^) I just bought my second X-wing set this week. I just love the new Star Wars parts... lots of good parts. I finished a new mecha last night. Turns out I have a wealth of red slopes, so I decided to build a red mecha with black and (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) Well, I've just tried to build a Mech and dismantled it again because it was tat compared to yours. I've done another one now, a sort of cross between the PatLabor Mobile Police Suits and Marvel's Transformers. You can have a look, just as (...)   Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) reminds (...) it (...) Looks great. Reminds me of teh Rifleman from Mechwarrior. One question. What are those two 1x1 cylinders under the cockpit, antipersonal weapons, sensors, or something totally different? Rob Drechsel (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

Thanks Jason, you are too kind. I'm designing the cad version of the walker now, so stay tuned for some cool renderings. Pat J (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) That Mecha is outstanding! Congratulations. I can't believe that is your first attempt. Sets a new standard for everyone else to follow. JJ. (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Transformable Fighter G2

(...) Oops! [1] - Robotech term for a Veritech in a state between battroid and jet modes, with the arms out and lower leg sections down on the ground. (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build)

  Transformable Fighter G2

I finially finished modeling everything movable of my transformable fighter. So far it has only been seen in jet mode, but now it can be seen in guardian [1] and mecha/robot mode, along with its sword! I have rendered a bunch of images today in (...)   New Mech: Soo-Naa-Mee

I just finished up my second and best mech I've ever built: (URL) decided to ditch the female mech with hair idea, so this is the heavily modified version of the mech I was talking about earlier. Please LMKWYT! Greg Majewski (URL) (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hair for a Mech

(...) the center link, and now you've got two long "dreadlocks". I've done this on a mech I built a while ago, and it works fairly well. -Chris (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hair for a Mech

(...) (can't remember who) use them on the head of a wasp to great effect. Good luck. (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Hair for a Mech

I've been experimenting with different mech shapes and I've decided that I am going to build a female mech. I have the head already built and I thought it would look a lot better with hair. I tried using hinges and 1xX plates, but the head is too (...) (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mech at DTNRI

I was just looking through this site and noticed there is a new "Heavy Mech". It looks great. Hopefully I'll get pictures of my mech stuff up soon. sun (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New mech @ Moonbase Io

(...) Well, that depends on how much weight you have on those ThrowBots parts... ;^) My Enforcer barely stands up straight. (...) (Imagining Enforcer tipping over on head) Hmm... I don't think I'll try that. ~Mark (URL) (24 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: New mech @ Moonbase Io

(...) Thanks. Another cool aspect about building mechs with Throwbot limbs is stability. All of my anthropoid mechs built with Slizer elements are stable enough to stand on one foot if you can believe it. C-ya, Todd (...) (24 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
