Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

Ooo... I like what I see! ;-) Very cool Geordan. I really like the shoulders, I dunno why. Guess 'cause it was kind of bold of you to make them so enormous and all red-coloured! The torso is well done, as are the legs. The right, forearm-mounted (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

(...) Thanks Dave! As Eric put it: I love the handlebar details on the gun. Egad, the guilt is building quickly! ;-) (URL) I (...) :-o, they don't, :-( I sacrificed more detail for less function, but I'm not sure I could have even made it pivot even (...) WoW! Geordan, this is quite an improvement and just shows where your skills are pushing you to go. As Eric put it: I love the handlebar details on the gun. I like the shoulders but don't see where they pivot. The rounded armor detail on the arms is (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

Hey, wow G-Meist that's really good. Whoa what a shlong missle rack, Ha! way to go! Man, you get credit just for that part alone! I like the chest how you angled the slopes on their sides. The Head is cool and looks like it has two little eyes. The (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

If you guys have not come across this page you must see these mechs. (URL) go to each link and look at these beauties. Later mecha friends. (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

(...) I particularly like the shoulder shaping, though it's missing an important DOF (degree of freedom). The sheathing of an internal skeleton adds an interesting new dimension to models, makes the building process more realistic and adds to the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

whoa, thats so cool! I don't quite know what to say. (been having that problem lately) I'm always amazed by these things. IMHO you just 'uped the bar' on the level of detail. G Geordan Hankinson <geordanh@yahoo.ca> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

Hey'all! It's been awhile since I posted a new mecha, but here it is, the Byzantine Tiger, (yes it's the same one as in my story) I don't really like giving a explanation for my mecha anymore, but this one sort of begs it so here goes, My (...)   Re: Torso Action

I really like that spine idea. I know Chris was thinking of making some sort of spine as well. I remember you talking about making a mecha with a sort of pendelum action for the torso...couterbalance type concept. Though the LBB doesn't use that (...)   Re: Torso Action

(...) That is very cool, very innovative, (...) I probably should on my next mecha, since it will be to scale with that design, I'll just have to figure out some sort of armour plating that shifts with it, shouldn't be *too* hard, :-) (...) (...) (23 years ago, 24-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Torso Action

I like this concept, of course natural like a spine, having a pivot mechanism in the hips or base of the spine really helps with the way a Mech stands. (URL) it a try. Here's a lil' somethin' new I'm working on. GG Mech: (URL) (23 years ago, 24-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
