(...) reminds (...) Good golly. Pat, this rocks. I'd definitely call it a mecha. I'd love to see some pics showing the leg articulation. And that's cool how you used the coloration on the X-Wing nose piece to simulate powder burns from the guns! :-, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Ahhhh, yes. I meant AT-ST not AT-AT. But I figure everyone will know what I meant. Thanks Nick! (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

(...) reminds (...) Wow, it reminds me more of an AT-ST than an AT-AT, but extremely cool nontheless! The spaceship you made is also very cool... gotta love the defensive and engine details. I recently made a mecha that resembles your mecha crossed (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

My First Mecha and a new fighter

I just uploaded some images of my first mecha model. It is not like most of the mecha designs out there so i refer to it as a walker. The thing it reminds me most of is an AT-AT though there isn't really much of a resemblence. The model is highly (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Mark, To answer your questions: 1) Nope, they don't fall apart at the shoulders too easily. I have problems with the feet falling off sometimes, but I haven't found a really good way of getting full posability out of the ankles any other way (and (...)   Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Hi Dave, Your mecha are beautiful as always, but I have a couple of questions: 1) Doesn't the use of a single peg at the shoulder make your mecha difficult to pose? It seems like they'd fall apart if you try to extend the arm forward. Do you use the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

Glad to help out. Let's see some of your stuff. If you've got some pics, you can email them to me, I'd like to see what you've got. -Dave Jr. (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

(...) Well Dave, you described it just fine for me. Now that you explained it and knowing what to look for, I have a better understanding of your joint design! Your idea is very simplistic and no where near what I had come up with. My joints, (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

I have a tough time describing the parts I use, but I'll give it a whirl. I've found the best hip joints are the black technic peg hinges. They consist of 2 parts, on one end of each part is a half technic peg and the other is a 3 or 2 finger hinge. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)
