  Re: Greetings

Thanks! My mom currently has possession of 2/3 of my lego sets so mostly what I have to work with is Technic and Model Team pieces, hence the predominant beams-and-pins design of my big mech. His arms ended up being not very posable (the shoulders (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Really Old Mecha

Well we all had to start somewhere! I added some really old pix of the first Mechs I ever made. Their old and they were first! Check em' out. Maybe you can get some ideas and begin a journey to build creations unforseen! (URL) pix have found (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Brickfest teaser - Ocelot

Brickshelf wouldn't load for me last night, so I had to wait until today to see the cat. Excellent work Chris. I'm a big fan of animal inspired mech, and this one is great. I don't think anyone has posted a cat before. You've inspired me. Maybe I'll (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Cool beans! That is one of the most original mecha I have seen in a while. I just LOVE animal shaped mecha and this one is top notch. greg <plug> (URL) </plug> (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha - Azriel

(...) Thank you Anthony. (...) No, but neither is anything on most LEGO designs. All the models that we LEGO mecha builders have flaws, some of the most important ones are balance and weight. Mecha like the ones most of us build will not become a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha - Azriel

I'd, like to take this opportunity to bow deeply to MP's Mad Mecha-building Skillz. all of your designs are amazing, and this one is no exception. I particularly like the heat-sinks and the open-frame legs. on a pure design point, is it really wise (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Better late than never... ;-) (...) I should suspect. (...) Thanks a lot Bryce! Yeah, the legs definitely stand out. The feet were the first "complete" or "finalized" part of the mecha that I build. Everything came along smoothly after that. (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha - Azriel

Hey Mladen, Sorry for jumping in so late. I've been very busy. Now to the mecha...Awesome!!! I can't decide what I like best. I'm really digging the legs and feet. The feet remind me of the Mirage a bit. The black space lander part in the calf (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Greetings

Hey Eric it's good to have a new mecha builder in the group. I can't do Lcad anything so I'm always impressed by Lcad mechas. The biggest one looks like a good combination of mecha ideas. You've taken some of the "classic" (for lack of a better (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Greetings

Hello all! I've been lurking around here for a while and stealing some of your design ideas for mecha. I just recently dusted off my LEGO sets and, not being able to afford one of those Perfect-Grade Gundam models, decided to start making LEGO ones (...) (...) Well holy cripes on toast! It's an origami mech, it's a feline form (a first, I believe), and it is the most unique use for battle droid parts I have ever seen. You win.   Re: New Mecha: Kierbis

(...) I think the point was the availability of orange pieces. Orange isn't as widely available as green for instance. It makes building a challenge when a rare color is featured prominently. The challenge seems to be the point and Adrian has done a (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
