  Re: Chris Snead

Thanks Chris, I have built "Alone" for many years before comming to Lugnet, so I'm excited by the praise. All my robots have a layer of dust too... yep since they were purpose made, they are here to stay! I have been playing aound with basic (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Thanks Sproat! I feel silly. Of course I've seen Colin's models. I just didn't remember his last name. Good stuff! (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Colin's name isn't ringing any bells for me. Anyone have a link to his work? Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Colin Gutierrez

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone has heard what Colin Gutierrez has been up to. I really liked his stuff alot - I even had his page bookmarked for a while. The last thing I saw of his that was new was Kiseru, which is really cool. Colin, what (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My first gundam!! along with a ninja fortress

thanks for the compliments but on the standing part I kind of cheated a bit. in case you didn't notice, I just used technic parts to hold the leg to the torso but the leg can't move!! it's stationary but can be wiggled a bit. I couldn't figure out (...) (23 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: My first gundam!! along with a ninja fortress

thanks for the complements! the only problem is whenever I do build my "own" style of mech, it either can't stand up, or looks like a big blob of plastic so whenever building mechs i have to cheat and copy someone else or else it doesn't work. I am (...) (23 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

Bobby, The answer for me lies in what I like to build. I have no interest in making a six foot tall mecha. Most builders create at a level they are comfortable. For me the scale I build has a lot to do with the types of joints I am using. Gravity (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Dismantled RCX combat robot...so you say. But I have a feeling someone has secret technologies in the works :-) Bryce (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) Oh, yeah! I'm paying really close attention to his joint system. I would love to build one of those one day; unless, that is, Brian wants to make a donation to the "Christopher Needs a Large Scale Gundam" fund ;-) Chris (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) Oh that's just some armor plate and a motorized lego machine gun from my dismantled RCX combat robot, wreckage in the lego scrapyard, nothing to be concerned about, unless I reassemble it. Then run and hide until it empties its ten shot (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) Actually all of my gundams represent advancing levels of technology rather than the mass production of the same design. I typically don't take models apart until the designs become sufficiently obsolete and unlikely to survive in battle (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) The picture of all three is awesome. (...) Put a big fat me too here Christopher. I'd love to steal (I mean use with full credit ;-) some of K's joint ideas). I have a feeling that we'd both be blown away by Brian's joint systems. I've stared (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My first gundam!! along with a ninja fortress

Hey I'm famous! <blushes> Thanks for the props! For a first mech that is very tall. Looks good. You have a handle on how to get it to stand and hey that's 3/4 of the battle with mecha. I like the upside down boat hull for feet. I was trying to do (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

This is a question to Brian (K) and actually to all mecha builders: "Why are you still building 2 to 3 feet tall Gundams and mechs?" Especially you K, you have more than enough pieces to create a 6 foot Gundam with opening armor/wings, huge guns, (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My first gundam!! along with a ninja fortress

(...) Hi Geordan! That is one great first Gundam (my first mobile suit was a walking trashcan). It is really refreshing to see something different than micro fig scale mechs.   Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four
