There are six legs that can each rotate out a full 180 degrees. Each lower leg swings along a click hinge. I picture it being some sort of small troop support mecha that is operated by remote. There was also a contemporaneous anime series with a main character who got into, hmmm, shall we say romantic situations with the women from popular anime series of the time. (...)
