Re: MOC POVray BCS NoGun mecha

(...) Joel, Your mecha looks great! Excellent color scheme. I would be curious to see pictures of other points of view for this mecha. I was wondering how you were able to render the image so smoothly? My experience with POV-Ray has always left my (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Microfig scale 'Dark Bot' Mecha

Very cool minifig mecha, Ashley! I've been trying (in vain) to build something in this scale, but all my attempts look like minifig sized pit droids-hardly very threatening looking... Keep up the great work! -Dave (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Microfig scale 'Dark Bot' Mecha

I recently embarked on a mini building spree consisting of one dozen microfig scale mecha. The link below shows my first attempt at making a tiny, five brick high mecha look like it could pack some power. (URL) picture reveals the unfortunate moment (...)   Re: And I shall call him ... MiniMech

(...) Solid mecha. It goes well with your other models on brickshelf. Very good use of printed pieces. The "worn" bricks from the Rock Raiders helps give it a battle worn look. My favorite part of it is the pulley wheel on the knee. I finally (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

And I shall call him ... MiniMech

Hi All, Just thought I'd point you to a new mech of mine. This past weekend, during the NELUG Medieval Brikwars event, Tim Courtney was kind enough to take a couple snapshots of it for me and put them online. Here 'tis: (URL) seats one, has a (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) Mark, here's what I want you to do. Just hop in your car, bring your building supplies, and let your wife know you are going on a short field trip. Don't inform your job, as you won't have one when you get back to Washington. Bryce, LUGOLA, (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Yeah, I'm having trouble making out some of the details. Please UPS the Dark Marauder to me. Thanks. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) You like that one?? Go figure ;o) (...) I agree it is very hard to show the whole thing with pictures. I've noticed others having the same problem. Maybe some stop motion animation would help... Bryce (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

Great pics, Bryce! I'm glad others have finally gotten to see this masterpiece in all it's glory. I'm especially please with (URL) , but I don't really know why... ;-) I have a theory regarding Lego creations that goes like this: The larger and more (...)   Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) If you're referring to Karza's opposite, his name was, I believe, Force Commander, and his horse was Oberon. Dave! (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) Hmm, who was that? He was Marionette's geeky brother, the prince. Andromeda? No, I think that was his horse. Or maybe Karza's horse. Force Commander? Maybe. Drat. I can't remember. Steve (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

It's a masterpiece that everyone will remember, I'm sure. How did you go about making the body non-studs-up? ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) It's around 22" tall and 14" long. One of the pictures "scale comparison" has 5 Pepsi cans next to it if that helps. I'm quite a Pepsi drinker... (...) Thanks. I actually built the whole mecha around the hands and head. Bryce (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) Iron Kong was the only one I ever bought!!! That thing ruled! And hail to Baron Karza! Although the white guy (name?) had a better face. I've been thinking of trying to build a mecha that attached like the Baron... Bryce (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

To quote a certian South Park character: "Dude! That kicks a**!" Seriously, that *is* the best mech I have ever seen. Friggin' scary... All of those pointy things going everywhere.
