  New Mecha: Trogladyte

Hello all! I picked up set 4894 Mythical Creatures yesterday and the insanity began. After a 7 hour build I produced this baby. The Trogladyte. Deeplink (URL) originally intended it to look menacing, but I think I missed the mark. It has 20 points (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Lego Purist Gundam Pictures?

Does anyone have the pictures of the Lego Purist site's Gundam made by Randall E. Barker? The site is now MIA and I'd love to have those pictures. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Yet another mech inspired by Highway Haulers

  Next up: the transformable mecha....

This time around, I decided to experiment with my new frame further by creating a flight-type mecha similar to the Re-GZ Waverider mode. I really am lovin this thing, I guess I just love transformable mecha! So you can find it here: (URL) what do (...) (18 years ago, 8-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Yet another mech inspired by Highway Haulers

Hello Lugnet! This isn't my first time posting, but this is my first completed model on lugnet. The picture quality isn't perfect, but i'm still learning the tricks of the trade.....   Re: Little white shooting bot

--SNIP-- (...) That is Soren's work. I made an edge-line only render by converting the model to white and fiddling with the settings in ldview and he coloured using his colouring book techniques in Photoshop. Looks great IMO. Tim (18 years ago, 5-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Oh don't get me started on her pants either! I can't believe she wore white after labor day. The moc is a cool lil sentry mech btw. (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Brickshelf Find: Bronx Bulldog by the Pale Man

Heads up true believers cause the Pale Man cometh! On today's menu we find a dark red and grey, two seater walker mech. It's Pale Man's first mecha so give him some dap. (URL) The rest can be found here: (URL) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new MOC: experimental mecha X6-1 "Rail"

(...) I like the different look to it. I'm always digging stuff that is off the beaten path. (...) First, a nod to V-Siren: very nice *blows Soren a kiss* Yeah I can see the influence, but I'd say you've made this design your own. No critisism (...)   Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) I'm just echoing what Chris said. I do like the very Japanese style of implied shapes and such. You've done a good job simplifiying the model while keeping it recognizable which is no easy feat. (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new MOC: experimental mecha X6-1 "Rail"

Hey Matt. I dig what you mean by architectural. Something about those arches. It definetly does have a light feel to it and I like the colors. This gives me the impression its like a rich man's decoration mecha that he shows off to guests in the (...) (18 years ago, 29-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

new MOC: experimental mecha X6-1 "Rail"

It's called an 'experimental mecha' because I didn't have a particular goal. I did intend it to be light, almost architectural. I was going for something like Soren's (URL) V siren> (I love that model!) but ended up with something... different. As a (...)   Re: Rolling Walking Rabbit Wrecker

(...) Ditto Fradel's comment on Zoids. I wonder, if a quadraped mech was actually built, would it work better with a mammal layout (like Rabbit Wrecker) or more of an insect/crustacean layout (like the Iron Mecha entries). I had that winch part at (...) (18 years ago, 29-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Moc: Kestrel

(...) I like that bright orange/burnt orange color combination, I don't think I've seen that before. That cockpit design is also cool, a little more impact than just a solid wedge piece, although I wish the color matched. I'd suggest trying to get (...)   Re: Rolling Walking Rabbit Wrecker

Neat mech Eric. Just one thing, don't you think the positioning of the crane and the lights and where cargo ends up is a little, um, suspect? :) No Bob, you get the hot load. No really Fred, I insist, YOU get the hot load. But I get it, the crane is (...) (18 years ago, 27-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Rolling Walking Rabbit Wrecker

I like animal mecha. They remind me of ZOIDS. I'd like to see this motorized if possible. Maybe incorporate sensors or something for the wench. I think the ears might be to short for a rabbit. Try the red swords if possible from the Yellow Exoforce (...) (18 years ago, 27-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Wow... I have not see that winch since it came out in the 70s. Is it for sale? JUST KIDDING!!!...!!! (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Rolling Walking Rabbit Wrecker

Hey Eric, Very cool. The design of the feet is very interesting - though I'm not sure I understand the combination of jointed legs and wheels. Is this a rollerskating mech? The use of the old tow truck piece as tail is very clever. Bruce (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Rolling Walking Rabbit Wrecker

I have been thinking about a quad design that has wheels at its toes. This is a proto type proof of concept design excersize. Future designs will explore this set up with the final version being motorized. (URL) Rolling Walking Rabbit Wrecker> (3 (...)   Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

This is a sweet Mech. The color scheme rocks and I just love the fact that this thing looks so mean for a small mech. All of the parts seem to have a purpose and while lots of detail (greebles?) is sometimes fun it's also nice to see the subtle and (...) (18 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: BAAL - Artillery Mech

The fact that you built this kickass mech under my dradis both frightens and delights me. Your mecha story is similar to mine. I just got up one day and decided to take a stab at mecha after two many years of looking at other people's work. I look (...) (18 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Good to see you're still around Pat. You never cease to amaze me with your alternate uses of seed parts. Grace the lug with your prescense more often. I'd like to see that in person. F (18 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Biped Tricycle

I was working on a use for the ATV body piece and came up with a pretty fun mech. Although, after I set it up to take the pictures the sun loosened all the leg joints and it wouldn't pose for me anymore. (URL) Gallery: (URL) Pat Bunn (18 years ago, 24-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
