Nice job. Do you plan on making a Z version that transforms too? Fradel (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) I like your model a lot. It's interesting - more than other mecha designs, gundams are very recognizable from their color schemes. This makes for some very good looking micro sized models. Keep it up! Chris (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Modlex Titane: Mecha Transformer Skeleton

  lowering noise

Hi guys. As you might have heard, I recently had to turn off someone's posting privileges[1]. I really don't like doing that sort of thing. So, in an effort to cut down on the likelihood of trouble in the future, let's go over a few basic things (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Re: Brickshelf Find: Chubby GM

Interesting... On one hand, its well-built, and the design elements closely match the intended model. The torso is off, but that can easily be fixed. if the legs and arms were extended slightly, this would be absolutely amazing! On the other hand, (...)   Re: Brickshelf Find: Chubby GM

(...) The whole body shape seems better suited to the Scopedog or the appropriately named Fatty from VOTOMS. Although I guess the legs would need to be a bit beefier. Jeff (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Brickshelf Find: Chubby GM

(URL) "Comic" has made a pleasingly plump version of everyone's favorite cannon-fodder mecha. Love those legs, and the head is wonderful. You could switch the chest out and it would be almost perfectly accurate. Soren (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Looking Gla Gla pics and Brickshelf Names.

Did anyone happen to save all of Gla Gla's folder before he took it off of Brickshelf? If so please let me know. Thanks.   Re: Zaku MS-06A Mobile Suit by Charlie Citrin

(...) I hadn't thought of that, but now that you mention it I agree. It does have that classic "use normal parts" feel. I guess that's another point in its favor. (18 years ago, 3-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: First set of pics uploaded! MSZ-006 (prototype)

That is really impressive Jas. I'm just amazed at how creating you guys can be with this SNOT concept. Is this one articulated? How posable is it? What kind of joint do you have in the hip that lets the legs splay outward like that? I wouldn't even (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, the legs do scizzor. When in the squatting position the legs are in their full collapsed position and the mech more or less rests on the upper ankle joint. When standing I insert a pin in the upper ankle which (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Hi Ken, thanks for sharing! I got to agree with Jas, for a first mech, this isn't bad. I'm looking at the supports in the legs and it looks like if you pivot something around that is what makes the legs change position. Am I right? I like how the (...)   Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Hey Ken, Nice work for you first attempt at a mech, I really like the level of articulation you have achieved. I take it the leg has the "scissor action" to it as it bends, which makes for a highly posable, and well balanced frame. What sets did you (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

My first original Mech - the Minator

Re: First set of pics uploaded! MSZ-006 (prototype)

Quite striking. The new gun is superb, and skirt armor definitely helps, although I think it sits a couple studs too high. I still don't know if I like the way the knee armor looks - it almost seems to have collapsed inwards. Is this a trick of the (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

This build has been an ever-evolving process. I thought I'd post a few pictures to get started (and hopefully finished).   Re: RX-78-2 Gundam

(...) I'd also suggest making the backpack a bit smaller, and in dark gray. The top isn't any higher than the top of the chest (excluding the collar) and only covers two thirds or so of the back itself. :) Jeff (18 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: RX-78-2 Gundam

It is nicely done - great proportion and articulation. I have to comment on the beam saber, assuming you are trying to match the original design: The beam part should be trans-red or trans-orange, and the saber hilt should be the white pieces (...)   Re: Zaku MS-06A Mobile Suit by Charlie Citrin

Nice. This Zaku has a clean look to it. For me, a real selling point is that it doesn't utilize alot of unique (or expensive) elements. It is clean, simple and elegant without relying on hard-to-find bricks. Oh, its also nice to see a mech so (...) (18 years ago, 3-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
