Nice mecha! However, why does the "Emu" have such large legs, and yet has such a small upper "body"? As for the new technique, it's been here since, Ron & Randy, Karim Nassar, Me, and many, many other mecha builders. Again, nice mecha! (...) After recently aquiring several 2x1 two-hole and 1x1 beam bricks from LEGO S@H, as well as several 1x4 grill mounting plates and 3' friction pins, I've developed a new technique for adding badly needed "studded bulk" to the throwbot limbs in my (...) I'm delurknig to throw a thought out. I also don't cruise in enough to know if this was already discussed, but at my local Target I saw that MB now has 4 mecha models. They're actually quite nice. (URL) This is a VERY crude render. This is actually the best quality and resolution my computer can do before Pov crashes. I do all my rendering at my friends house.
