Re: My First Real Dive Into The World Of Mech-Dom: The KOP Trooper

(...) Cool, I'm glad to hear that. For clarification, did you want this as an entry into the contest? snip (...) I'll admit, I didn't think too much of it at first glance. UNTIL I looked further on your website. I thought the head was too big at (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Sure did Marco. I am grooving on this little dude. I'm afraid I got not much more than what Dave said, the feet feel not quite right. I dig the toes, it's the heel that gets me. I'm particuarily fond of the detail with the droid arms, and the (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

I have been asked an interesting question regarding public frame designs, like the GlaGla frame: "Does it have to be an original design by me?" My answer to this is Yes, UNLESS the design you are using has been made publicly available for use. This (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Hello Dave, thank you for your feedback. You are right about the feet. I have some problems building cool feet in this size. Hey but I take it as a challange! (...) I already buy at Bricklink, but I've a limited budget. No matter, I'll get me (...) (19 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru

(...) They are funky, I can't quite get over how much the curves of the tops of the heads look like knuckles. But it takes some imagination. (...) Cool, I appreciate it Bryce. Thanks! Mark (19 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

Okay, so this one I like. A LOT! The colorscheme is fairly basic which helps on a design like this. I'm still not jiving on the feet, but that might be due to the size you are working at. Excellent Job, Marco! My suggestion regarding the dark (...) (19 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My First Real Dive Into The World Of Mech-Dom: The KOP Trooper

(...) Personal preference: Mech builder. Mecha enthusiast is also a likely candidate. The first person to use the term 'Mechanista' loses an eye... The review: Not bad, not bad at all for a first creation, Nathan. I like that you've built a (...) (19 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

My First Real Dive Into The World Of Mech-Dom: The KOP Trooper

Greetings, mechers!* I would like to present my latest creation: the KOP (Keeper Of the Peace) Trooper. It's not my first mech or mecha, but it's the first one I actually came away from feeling really pleased about. Usually I'm a castle-builder, but (...)   Bravo

Encouraged by the replies to (URL) Alpha> I gave it another try. (2 URLs) Bravo> It's not as poseable as (URL) Alpha> but I like the overall look. Sorry, I had to use some blay parts due to a lack of dkgray. As Keith suggested I added a small squad (...) (19 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru

(...) I like the bulkiness. It looks a bit lumbering but isn't that the "big and mean" standard? Also like the slope usage on the front. And for some damn reason I just love the blood red/yellow combo! So shoot me but I'm really diggin it! Wierd (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Well I intended Alpha to be mass produceable. Seems I chose the right parts. Thanks for the feedback, Kyle. (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: WR02-ZRX1 Skin Build

Bryce, I'm glad Scott replied. I also honestly don't understand why some people think my stuff all looks the same. I just want to talk about it, not be an ass. e (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: WR02-ZRX1 Skin Build

Well I guess I'll hop in here as I'm tired of all the negative crap surrounding .mecha... (...) Appearantly Eric didn't read that part :-) (...) And yet here he gives Eric a compliment which is still not recognized... (...) This is not a discussion (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru

(...) <snif> You guessed. Kogeru is now enrolled in a brick 12 step program. (...) DAMN! I knew I missed something. (...) Thanks man, for the post and the phone # for brick anorexics anonymous. Mark (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Kogeru

(...) If I start stipping off armor I can get Kogeru into one footed walking poses. But unfortunately it's just a bit too much. (...) Thanks but they are the heads. Not the torsos. (...) Hmmm, there's really not an undressed frame per se. I just (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kogeru

(...) yep, Kogeru will steal your lunch money with ease. Now hand it over. (...) Thanks Dave. I'm thinking that is the photography thing. It's sneaky in that respect. People either seem to think it is bigger or smaller than it actually is. Mark (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Kogeru

Doesn't photograph well, huh? They say the camera adds 10lbs, so maybe he's actually sort of anorexic looking? With the exception of the tan dog-robot heads for fingers I dig the color scheme. I don't know how well it would work as urban camouflage, (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: WR02-ZRX1 Skin Build

(...) In an attempt to discuss this misnomer, please review these two sets of creations and tell me which two are the same in appearence. Each creation I make is something the last one was not or could not be. Look at the two lists of creations, (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: WR02-ZRX1 Skin Build

Eric, I'm really happy to see you working Mecha in new ways. Don't take this as the wrong way, but in the past, much of your Mecha appeared to be the same (to the average non-mecha builder--I know many of the Mecha were developments and trials of (...)   Re: The two Drakes

(...) As Mark suggested I'm trying to redesign the too light ankle connection. Just to make them fit those massive legs. The modularity helps me in building. I can easily try new ideas... Thanks for your feedback (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 18-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
