  BrickCommander® 2004 Finale

Hail MechWarriors! The year is near it's end, so I thought I really should create something special to present as the last BrickCommander model in 2004. Maybe something new from Mechwarrior 4? Something everybody would want to see? Something that (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) Yeah you guessed it. Add stuff there and you loose mobility. I think I got an idea though. If I use the minifig back stud adapters, that shouldn't interfere with mobility but may allow me to add some detail. Hmmmm, thanks! I avoided slopes (...)   Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) Thanks Chris. Yeah I got the blues and both grays and blays. (so if you count blay as blue just blues and grays....) Actually this is where the name comes into play. Shades of blue. Shade. I really wanted to hit off the model using the not so (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) Well, kind of. I've always been trying to push myself smaller and tighter. This is a new benchmark. It's small and looks good. A lot of my prior smaller stuff looks dumb. (...)   BrickMech Website and Rules Now Posted!

I've finally gotten around to creating a website for BrickMech ((URL) while it's a bit minimalist, the rules are there along with links to galleries of creations and Con photos. The modular specification hasn't really changed, though I tightened up (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.gaming)

(...) he, he, thanks! (...) Yeah, I deliberated on that, believe me. But ultimately anything on that brick interferes with articulation. Thus, I left it blank. (...)   Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) I don't know, I've never been good at mecha. I like the poseability a lot, and the eyes are really clever. Do they actually stay in by themselves? I'd like to see Shade with some accessories, they usually make mecha more exciting to look at (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) snip I absolutely love the calves and feet. You've got to have clearance for the ankle to pivot side-to-side, but you were able to recess the pivot axis low enough so that the front-back click hinge joint isn't sticking way up. In fact, you (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) Hey, this is pretty interesting...I think this is one of the smallest models I've seen with the reverse chicken leg design - one of your trademarks. I like your use of colors. I was noticing that light blue, sand blue, bley and dark grey make (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Robo Platoon MOC's

(...) It's funny - those "jet-thingies" are straight from the Robo-Platoon set, and a lot of people seem to like them - good job, Lego! The pneumatic tees are something I used for the wrists of my mecha for years. I'm glad to see that they're (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shade, Mech for the SnowLeopard Clan Ninjas

(...) I am trying to figure out the eyes thing. I like it, kind of mysterious and ninja-ish. Oh wait, I figured it out. Nice. Nice Mech, especially for your first stab at it this.   Re: Robo Platoon MOC's

Did these sets have the new 1x1 claw plate in red and blue? If not, where did you get those from? LOVE that piece!! The mechas are all fantastic. Excellent proportions and poseability is aces.
