Mech and starship slideshows at Philcon SF con

I'm running the Children's Program (ages 6-12) at the (URL) SF convention this December, and I've expanded my domain to include LEGO activities (for all ages). Among them, I'm compiling topical shorts from (URL) BrickFilms>, and a couple of (...)   Re: Female humanoid; 4508 alternate

(...) Thanks. Actually the whole female started with the shoes. So when I had built the shoes with high heels I had to build a large female. Otherwise it wouldn't have made sense... (...) It's not completely solid, but most of her torso is. Maybe I (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.space)

  Re: Female humanoid; 4508 alternate

(...) Well thanks, apparently I do.. (...) Lots of Schleim ;-) (...) These parts are also very important for the construction! (...) The part I started with, not exactly knowing what I was gonna build (...) I think it's my specialty (...) It was (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.space)

  Re: SnowCat

This was the hard part of this one, I had to find two white plate hinges that had exactly the same tension in them. Otherwise the greater friction on one side of the jaw versus the other would cause the jaw to come apart. (...) Hehe, theme, I really (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: SnowCat

Wow, good morning! I have been waiting for this. Hmmm, let's see. Oh wow, I really like the way the mouth opens and closes. The overall feel is like that of the Warhound. (one of my clan favs) The title itself is killer, "Mecha of the Homeworld." (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Here's my latest, seen at NWBrickCon and winner of the "Best Medium Mecha" award. SnowCat: (URL) Here's some deep link to the bigger pics: (URL) Pic1> (URL) Pic2> Enjoy y'all. Mark Neumann (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Female humanoid; 4508 alternate

ok, wow, this is only made from the parts in the Titan XP? Sheeeeesh, you have a nack for making cool stuff from limited parts! Things I dig: * The head, neat how you made that. * The chest, heh heh. * The way those large solid canopy/slopes form (...)   Re: Female humanoid; 4508 alternate

(...) <SNIP> I guess this reply seems a little measly, but I really like the shoes. They add a lot to the model. Nice to see a large scale female mecha - there are few. Also, I had no idea the Titan XP set enabled one to build such large things - (...) (20 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.space)

  Whoa, check this out

Not sure where to FUT--please direct as appropriate. (URL) 4 meg document may provide some interesting ideas for mech weaponry, etc. Dave! (20 years ago, 3-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Atatosomb: A Hardsuit

(...) That's very clever. Although using hair on a minifig's head, now that's just plain crazy.... why wasn't there room for the helmet? (...) Any Trouble And The Opponent Shoots Off My Butt. ;-) Cheers, (URL) (20 years ago, 3-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
