Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Ok, I gotta break Tim's Brick's here. Tim, helped me get started on this project. He helped me get ready, he helped sort and he helped me with trying to brainstorm the layout. Thank you Tim!   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Thank you, in honoring the roots of the Moonbase, using classic space colors is a must for me. (...) I wouldn't bet on that. ;) (...) "...bricks and pannels..." do you mean bricks and plates? right? Really you only need a few slopes and a hand (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Aww, you flatter me, calling me by my old nic-name. (...) Even with basic blue brick construction, part of the real challange is determining the way it will all be laid out. Then making it all gel. What you are left with is places for a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) A hundred MOCs in one. I like that saying. It does split in to three sections. Each of the three base plates carries a section, they can be re-combined in to form new patterns. As many service gantry center sections can added as desired. (blah (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) wow, thanks Adrian, the pillars seemed like a good way to get 10 studs up and at the same time provided a good footing that I could replicate in mass. (...) Mostly long corridors with smallish rooms on the ends. There is a Control Center (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Mecha Support Rig, Mk2

-snip- I'll play! Mark, this is ubber cool. I myself am facinated by reworking or revisiting a project to either make it better or attain goals otherwise. The massive wheels, the gobs of details, the super cool main cabin. Wow. You say all the (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Mecha Support Rig, Mk2

Since PDX I've been wanting to do a new rig, kind of missed the old one, (URL) So I resurrected the rig. (URL) The focus on the new rig is in field coolant flush and mecha minor repairs. As such there is a cab, a in truck shop, and a bed. On the bed (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) snip (...) Whoah! Very impressive! I'd like to bring a 'mech in for an overhaul, but even my biggest one would look pretty puny in that gantry (plus I'm guessing your facility is not equipped to reload gauss rifles and missile launchers :).   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Wow, cool! I like the structure around the main mech bay, makes it more like a whole facility instead of just the bay. -Tim (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Except that Eric's is waaay more detailed than anything TLC would have included. Classic Space, while nice looking, sure was kind of basic. Bob (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Eric, Love all the little details - the container, the ladders, all the figs at work - and my favorite part, the Classic Space color scheme. At the very least, it looks like it came right from a display page in the Idea Books from the 80's, (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

You are out of control E. 2 Weeks?! Amazing, no matter how long (or short) a period of time it took to build. So many details...and minis running amok...and the scale...you could imprison a small child in that thing. Not that I'm suggesting that. (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

(...) Wow Eric, Mechs, Cranes, and Pipe wrenches! You really nailed it with this one, I love all the details you packed into there. And the ladders worked out great ;) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

heeheheh, Wow. I just might have to make a new rig to park in front of this. Love those cranes. The look is great industrial mecha extreme. Cool.... Wish I could be there to see the moonbase. Mark (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

Yowsers! (As Inspector Gadget would exclaim). Thas one awe-inspiring creation... The scale impressess me, but its the sheer attention to detail that really excites... I love the classic space style, very futuristic yet, retro in a way. I am right in (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 04

LegoMaster, this is awesome! Wow, the sheer scale of it just blows me away! The complexity and detail is stunning! I absolutely love how you thought out the design of this; the two tiers of cranes, the hinged scaffolding, the ground workspace area, (...)
