very cool, mladen! and you were just trying to tell me you don't do alternate models, shame shame! this one looks pretty dang good. i myself have yet to tackle using those click-hinges in a model. would you mind if i added a link to your images for (...) i like the mechs... esp. the joints on the HMM10. I was wondering how you did the joints, because i tried plently times to make a decent mech and 2 things always happen: 1. the legs collaspe under the wieght of the body 2. the arms 'sags' due to the (...) (...) Depending on what one is trying to accomplish, I don't see a problem with copying others designs. I have seen several nice setups which have extensively used stock LEGO sets. Hey, those "Striders" are really cool-looking. They remind me of the "Emancipator" Herculans from Dynamix's Starsiege game. Same torso, only the Emancipator's pods were above and below the cockpit instead of the sides. (24 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

This whole thread originated when Mladen offered a sneak peak at his current mecha project, and Rob asked Mladen if he could use "a scaled down version of those legs" in (...)
