  Re: Women and Eric?

lol! Even better, I just recognized one of those women as the person responsible for yanking me out of my Dark Ages all those many years ago...funny how small our AFOL world really is. -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: First mech

(...) Great looking Mech, Dan! I love the use of the UCS X-wing canopy, and the guns are great. I like the legs and feet also -nice and rounded. Great first mech. -mark (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

My obligatory NWBC post - too much fun for just one weekend

Hey all, I finally had some alone quiet time to do the picture thing. My images of all of NWBC, as well as a bit of our (Eric Sophie and me) roadtrip, are now online.   Re: Classic Wars: The Battle Between Good and Shpleem

(...) Good fun! Like Tim said, the timing is a little off 'cause it changes frames just after all the text visualize on some of them. A word of warning for non-broadband users; The file is ~25.2MB! (zipping it it became 24.8MB). (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Well played. Very funny! :-) A small bit of feedback on the slide show - it went a little too fast to read the captions and see all that was going on in the image.   Classic Wars: The Battle Between Good and Shpleem

  Re: Hello All !!!

I like! Very chunky, good color control. I personally favor mecha with longer legs, but you make the stumpy look work. The wrist articulation seems a little weird, but it's just a minor point.   Re: Black Mamba Mk II

Usually, I am a quiet lurker in .space, and only occaisionally swing by .mecha to look at the latest MOCs.   Re: Black Mamba Mk II

(...) Excellent. I much prefer this to the original. It's sleeker, lighter and armed to the hilt. It's the gun mounts (and what guns they are!) replacing those somewhat simian arms that does it for me I think. They seem to go better with that leg (...) Ok, this is seriously cool. I thought the brain was brilliant. Maybe a trans helmet or dome on top of it? This sucker is hard to see, If the friction pins were trans I think I would have lost this mech entirely. cool Snow Daddy (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My First Mecha

This ain't bad. You got a pretty workable armature there I think. More basic than Gla Gla's but easier for the average Lego builder to reproduce I think.
