Dear Lego®-Fans!

René Hoffmeister, the webmaster of www.1000steine.de and the man behind the
First International System Creativity Contest (ISCC) is extremely busy in
preparing all the galleries, that have entered the contest in the last days of
december.

That is, why he begged me to do this posting and give a few informations about
the contest and the voting process (which will begin in time despite of the big
amount of last minute entries.)

Lots of great models can be found in the differnet themes already:
http://www.creativity-contest.net/

So look forward, what will come soon: while there have been less than 40
entries before the Christmas days began, there have been over 150 entries in
total till New Years Day!

The jury members will get a mail from René who will inform them, how the voting
is planned to be done and how to write the short comments on the published
galleries.

The online community of Lego®-Fans (who will have an 80% influence on the end
results of the voting) will be informed a few days later, how to do their
voting.

René told me he has finished the rules for that and he is 100% sure about the
fact, that the voting process will be absolutely justice (no chance fo fake
votes) and in a way, that should perfectly satisfy all people that have entered
the contest with a model.

The voting rules will make sure, that every entry will have the chance to win
and for the voting it is definitely not neccessary to compare two
themes or entries with each other (since you cannot compare tube dinosors of a
child with a 30,000 bricks castle of an adult anyway).

Leg Godt!

Ben
(Jury member in the train theme of the ISCC)

(...) Thanks for that update, Ben! (...) Well I don't know about anybody else but those tube dinosaurs are going to get high marks from me in my public voting, I thought they were highly creative, considering the source! :-) I think we may have the (...) (...) This is an added difficulty for voting. Making tube dinosaurs is an amazing creative use of lego pieces, most of all if they are made by a child. When I saw it first and had not read the story, I thought it was some kind of experimental (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.contests)
