  Star Wars LEGO Design Contest II
 
After Pat´s successful Star Wars contest, I would like to announce a follow-up contest. To make the contest an interesting sequel to Pat´s design contest, I have decided to create some new categories while dropping some old: Best never build before (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

(...) Yes, every SW-model is welcome. Most of them fall into the category "best overall model". Some can also be in the CAD section. I am thinking of other categories as well. Any suggestions ? (...) An alternate model category seems like a good idea as people don´t have to spend loads of money to create something that can enter the contest. (...) I disagree. This would result in too many categories, or be restrictive on entries - you'd have to have the right sets to enter. Instead, the judge should consider the difficulty, detail and ingenuity in making the alternative, whichever set (...) (...) I have a suggestion - best Pre-Official Star Wars Lego Model. This would be for all models built from elements from sets which pre-date the official Star Wars Lego models. It means that one can enter an "old" X-wing that is build before the official model came out (judged by the use of its parts) and that you can (...)
