  Re: My ISSC entry

Dear Larry, I think your town scene is excellent. Too bad Lego does not make extra large tan base plates - or did you intend for your streets to be paved? -Ben (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.contests)

(...) The rareness eh!? I substituted black on my BNSF covered hopper (are there green 1x1 bricks with a side stud?). I have TONS of the 1x2 brick rings, but they look ugly!   Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Some of the details I love: The tire for a cowling for the biplane. The grey hands representing ammo clips on the guns. The tires for big, fuzzy hats. Thanks a lot, I hope there's a part II. George (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Let the BT1 voting begin!!!

To all competitors. Here it is, the final ballot: (URL) note, we have extended voting to the end of day on the 8th of January to help make up for the long weekend. The colors were a bit bland, tho'. I like all your town stuff and this is one of (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Thanks Greg, I appreciate it. Yeah, the story is really the result of trying to figure out a way to link the biplane and statue together. I *really* had been planning on building some kind of German plane, but then a very nice Ju-52 was (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

(...) Thanks for the nice comments, I appreciate it. I got my dk grey hands from the Boba Fett figure, if you can still find them around. Target was selling them cheaply a few weeks ago.   Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah, I think Lego really blew it with the potential of Adventurers, but there's stil a lot that can be done with it. I'll definitely add more when I get a chance. Thanks, Gary (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

Hey Gary, I thought your site was great! Super job in creating the statue and the plane. You have did a superb job with color and design. I would like to see more. Makes me miss the adventurers sets all that much more... Keep up the good work! Tom (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

(...) Thank you! (...) Ah, yes, a line of green ended ones would be sweet!   Re: Blacktron Contest Entry: One Man Shuttle

(...) Haha, that's cool. I was about to submit a base plate with a 1x4 on it as a Category 6, but then someone went and built a base, so that saved me the trouble of rendering one. ~ Tom (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

(...) I got some dark grey hands with the stuntman in the LEGO Studios Backdrop set (1351). You might check some other sets in this theme to see if this is common with the stuntman figures. Greg (25 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)
