I feel kinda dumb asking this as I'm on the committee, but when does this thing officially start? The web page is up and ready at (URL) and I'm ready to start taking entries. I was under the impression that Jude was "in charge" here, but if I am, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

(...) I believe Lego counts minifigs as three or four pieces: legs, torso/arms/head, hat/helmet/hair, and backpack/neck ornament. It would probably be best to count them the same way. --Bill. (25 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

I can't speak for others, but it wouldn't really bother me much if there weren't any obvious (ie, with the triangular blacktron insignia) pieces in the model. It's more a style thing with me. ~ Tom William R Ward <bill@wards.net> wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

(...) *sigh* My bad <-- See I can fess up! I looked it up, it was a BT2 thing in the 1991 US/CA catalog. So not a BT1 story, per se. -Jason (25 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

I don't think we'll worry too much about amount of pieces, really. A minifig counts as one piece, I would think. If your model ends up being right around the border, then contact us and we'll decide which category it will go in. But I don't think (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)
