Jason-

Yes the roof comes off in two sections.  I like how it makes it easy to add
detail to the floor plan...

Here is the "The Bumble Bee Building" I have been working on for a few weeks.

Now that I am building with Lego, I have to use my B/F's collection and this
time black and yellow were not being used for his latest space ship, so
that's what I had to work with.  And being I like heavy colors and high
contrast, it was not a problem.

I started with just fiddling with the pieces and this form started up.
Alternating yellow, black, and using many windows... it was apparent to me
that it wanted to be a bumble bee building.  As I was building it I kept
thinking to myself "what is it?"  "A school?"  "A warehouse?"  "Barracks?"
I settled on converted warehouse for a art studio and gallery...

Anyway, here it is...

This is my second building, so let me know what you think and perhaps let me
know any oddities in my design.

Looks great Sara.  It's a very striking building.  Would look great in most any
display.  It's nice that all four sides have detail.  Lately I haven't been
giving anything but the front and roof attention.  The stairs inside are very
cool.  They really emphisize the art gallery idea.  Looking at the pictures, I
get the idea that the roof comes off (in two sections), is this right?

Well keep up the great work.

(...) Thanks, I still like it even though it didn't turn out the way I intended. I had wanted to make some kind of wizard's tower, but after I finished it, it looked like a prison. So I put those walls up around it, and took some pictures. Those (...) (23 years ago, 1-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.arch)
