I have once again updated my castle pages.  This must be getting tiresome for
some of you :-) I have been doing this a lot lately.

Not tired of any of it, keep up the great work.

First an most exciting I have added a new "Generic Building" to my site.  This
really looks more like an upper middle class home.  I realise there was a very
limited middle class in the middle ages but this is also a bit of a fantasy so
I can do whatever I like.

It is becoming more and more obvious that I am running out of key colors but I
am much happier than I thought I was going to be when I started this house.

Very nice.  The gray and blue go very well together.  I've got a few new
buildings of similar style to get pics up of.

Second I have added 2 new Market shops to my Market.  You can see these at the
bottom of my market page.  I don't know what is going to be sold in these • shops
yet so for now the shelves are bare.

Nice to see the market growing. :-)

Third, I would generally not show another peasant building but I just wanted • to
highlight the fake door design used here (Yes I stole this from Dave E. too).
Basically this is a layer of plates covered with tiles that are attached at a
90 degree angle to the building in back using technic beams and 1/2 pegs with
stud.

Of course this prevents me from doing the interior but these houses are
basically filler anyway.

Nice touch! I couldn't make it out from the photos but if I understand
correctly the door is offset half a stud?  I've borrowed a similar technic from
other members of PNLTC for the look of passenger train car doors when lacking
regular train doors, using the 1x2 tiles w/ center stud, if you'd like a pic
I'll have to see if I can find one.  I decided to use this for the walls of
some of my buildings, giving them a nice "timbered" look.

Fourth,  I added one picture of the new roof I put on the lookout tower on my
City gate.  I like this design much better although it is still not perfect.
The picture is at the bottom of this page and is not of the best quality
because it came out dark and I had to brighten it considerably.

I've been battling a similar problem with a roof of a interior building in my
castle. Using steep slopes made it entirely too tall but a combination of low
and steep sure helps a lot.
I love your modular wall design, I will definitely have to borrow some of your
ideas when I get to building mine.

Lastly,  I added a couple of pic's to my "City View" page.  The city is
starting to hang of the edges of our dining room table so I am going to have • to
find a new location soon.  Once again the new pics are at the bottom of the
page.

Looking great! (once I broke the code :-)
Check the thumbnails, at first I got "file not found".  I looked at the date at
the end of the url and you have 30 instead of 00. :-)

Thanks to everyone for your responses. I am glad you all like the blue house. It is kind of an odd color but like I said I like it better than I thought I would. (...) Oops! Thats the problem with big updates you always seem to forget to test (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.arch)
