you're right, they would be out of scale.  Oh, well.

Don't I remember seeing a pony in some sets - maybe from paradisa?  That
might work for a smaller-scale horse...

(...) Ah, ha, yes!! Paradisa Country Club <set:6418> indeed had such a pony in brown. I have one from my cousin's set. Those are probably pretty hard to come by, but worth a shot; those would probably work pretty well in that (amazing, may I note) (...)
