The other suggestions in this thread are all great (I love the LoM Fan
idea!). I would also consider an occasional drain pipe or electrical
conduit -maybe just a stack of 1X1 rounds or 2X2 rounds connecting the roof
to a sloped "spout" at the base.
Also, consider at least one ladder so that service people can reach the
electrical and airconditioning units on the roof. I know two of the
warehouses I have worked in had these, surrounded by metal "safety cages"
and with a locked cage door about six feet up to prevent unauthorized access
to the roof. The ladder would be easy enough, if you have any gray ladders
from the Town fire department sets. But I am not certain how you might
construct the cage around it, perhaps just a series of 1X6 or 1X8 plates
turned 90 degrees to parallel the ladders?
For the interior, depending on the type and size of the facility, you might
also want fork trucks. The forklifts offered by old Town and Train sets
were usually of the larger Counterbalance design. Narrow Aisle "Reach
Trucks" (also called "Hi-Lows") could be an interesting challenge to create
for mini-fig scale warehouse racking.

Also a challenge to build would be mini-figure "rider-jacks" (ground level
pallet jacks that the stockhandler stands on one end of to operate).

At the least, you can use ample amounts of the little red hand truck (2
wheeled dolly) that some later Town sets offered.
That's my thoughts...
