(...) I scoped out the green/grey one. You've got some very nice effects there, I like the cornice. Is that just bricks turned 90 degrees? However it *is* a big building. Try some selective compression. Bigger isn't always better. I can see where (...) (23 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch)

I am in the middle of building a home train layout with my kids, and am cranking out buildings for the town section.   Re: BrickTopia Public Library

(...) Seems many buildings in the US are this way, too. But that's just 'cause they put small rooms in 'em. But seriously, though, it makes sense. Many lobbies of tall buildings are the equivalent of three or four stories high. -JDF (23 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

Hi, Thanks for the compliments. I have several reasons for having high ceilings: - In many forms of classical architecture, extremely high ceilings are the norm. I'm still trying to figure out where I got this. My part isn't yellowed and looks brand new. I do recall trading with someone as a kid and he had that moon landing set, but I'd be really surprised if it was in that good of shape from so long ago. I (...) (...) There was also an accessory pack from the late '70s which had, I think six national flags (I have a Union Flag, a Swiss Flag and an Australian flag left) perhaps with some other bits, there may have been a Stars and Stripes in there too. Thanks for the compliments. Actually, I have no clue where I got that American flag. I've had it for a long time. Anyone know where these came from?
