  Re: Chateau Paradisa

(...) WOW! (picks jaw up off floor :) You are one of the greatest lego builders I know of when it comes to building large buildings. (24 years ago, 18-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Chateau Paradisa

This is my latest building - A luxury hotel. It is a mix of Neo-Classical style and ... Paradisa elements! (URL) is my updated city, Bricktopia (contains several new shots): (URL) will be on display next weekend at the LUGOLA meeting. Please see (...)   Re: Church update

(...) Thanks. I wish I had photographed it before installation. Because it's an odd size and two colors, it's made of small pieces. This, and that it narrows down to one stud where it's anchored to the wall, made it a real challenge to build sturdy. (...) (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

I really like the "hovering" effect of the pulpit. Great teaser pic as I'm really looking forward to seeing more. I also love your running updates. Very amusing! Tim "Amy Hughes" <lugnews@public.atreides.org> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

(...) I don't think they always do. (...) Of course. Sorry. (...) Exactly. (...) Yes, but it's hard to find. Is it in the MLCAD database? That's another indicator... --Bill. (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Church update

Without a new deadline, I've slacked off on construction quite a bit. I'm going to try to finish up by April Fools' Day. Yeah, right :-) I've included a teaser pic in the latest entry of the construction notes... (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

(...) "Hollow" studs, like on Technic bricks, have the LEGO logo inside the stud. (...) c /plates/tiles/ (...) Often it's a LEGO copyright mark on the underside of the piece. A 1x4x6 piece is large enough that it should say LEGO on it somewhere. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: My School of Design and Architecture

(...) Not always true. Pieces that have the "hollow" studs can't say LEGO on them for obvious reasons. Ditto plates, which have no studs. Usually the word LEGO is somewhere on the underside of the piece in those cases. It can be quite hard to find (...) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

I forgot - One more part: The rose window is from an aquazone Hydro Search Sub ( 6180 ). Alan hasn't been quite as devilish lately. In fact, he's been lowering rates. I just wish he had lowered them faster.
